Data Abort
« on: November 28, 2008, 05:48:37 AM »
On an iriver h10 20gb with the build r19244 i get the following error message:

Code: [Select]
Data abort at 000093C (0)

This only happens with files contained in one folder, but with each file of that particular folder. The files are 192kbit mp3 files and play 5-7 seconds, then the error message occurs. Does this have something to do with the files or with the build?

Sounds very much like the files themselves. Try re-ripping them if possible, or check for odd samplerates (non-44.1 kHz) or very large tags (embedded album art or long comment field)

Otherwise, you may be lucky and someone who knows what they are talking about will offer to take a look at the actual files in question.

Then it normally goes one of two ways:
The files have been ripped/encoded in some standards non-compliant way = no action
The files conform to standards but expose a bug in Rockbox's codec/playback implementation = bugfix!

Please file a bug report in the tracker and attach one of the files so somebody can take a look at it, even if it is not standard compliant rockbox should not crash when trying to play it.
