ipod video 80 g is not found

i need help,

im abut to loos my mind

i did everything by the book -
downloaded the utility
pot the ipod on disc mode
and nothing - it always says - ipod is not found
or - when i try to find it on the list in the utility -sorry, rockbox does not work with your device
(i tried with the manual way too, the same problem... the bootloader  says - no ipod found )

i don't know what to do

Are you sure you have an iPod Video, and not an iPod Classic? If the utility says it's not supported, it's almost certainly not supported.

You have an Ipod classic. Why don't you believe Rockbox Utility on this?

Sure -- as your player isn't supported, which you have been told by the autodetection. The bootloader installation simply verifies the selection (due to the way it is structured), and as the Ipod is not compatible it doesn't find one.

No, that's why it specifically says it doesn't work with several of them on the front page of the site, including the one you have.
