AC3 Support on e200 series?

I, luckily, have a v1 e260. I say luckily because it supports Rockbox, of course! Jealous of my girlfriend's delete function(version c, according to tech support, I have version a apparently) I upgraded my Sansa firmware(and then called them) and was completely PISSED that they can't manage their own delete function!

The only problem I've had with Rockbox is having the Sansa freeze while attempting to playback AC3 files. So I've deleted the single AC3 album I had and have since had zero problems.

Are there any plans to fix this? Whether simply not attempting to play the files or full (AC3) codec support?

Edit: I've had numerous problems with this player. Copying large amounts of files has not worked. Causing explorer to freeze and the player to become unresponsive(hard-reset). Video playback is horrid and freezes often(hard-reset). And I used the provided neck strap, pulled it out of my pocket, accidently dropped it from waist to carpeted floor... it landed on the neck strap's metallic screw joint and cracked the screen. My girlfriend's(v2 or rev.c) screen has a distorted mess of pixels on the top ~1/3" of the screen from ZERO physical damage.

Rockbox has been the only redeeming quality of this player so far! So I would like to thank all the developers for their hard work. Thank you!

I'm not sure. All I know is it's AC3 5.1 and they work in VLC. It's not a big issue for me. I just deleted them and have had no more problems.

I can send one of the files to you if you like.

If possible post it.  If its small, the bug tracker will work, otherwise let me know and I can arrange for some other way.

Hmmm. Doesn't seem to be repeatable on any single song. Sometimes they'll play sometimes not.

Perhaps it's something to do with skipping(>>|) through different songs.

If it's the first song I play after power on it plays fine(all the songs). But selecting another song from the file browser seems to make it freeze 100% of the time, and skipping the song to the next song causes it sporadically. Sometimes it displays the old song info, (root)(root), and sometimes it displays the new song info... these are the three things I've noticed when it freezes(backlight stays on and so does the blue circle).

I'll PM you info on the files.

Selecting, playing and skipping in that album worked fine for me on my Sansa.
