H10 down button stuck
« on: November 24, 2008, 01:46:43 AM »
My H10 20GB is stuck on the down button. When I turn it on, it automatically scrolls down. I can scroll up, or stop it by pressing another button, but I can't enter any of the menus, making the mp3 player unusable. There doesn't appear to be anything physical pressing the button down.

This is probably a hardware problem, not a problem with rockbox itself, but I don't know where else to ask. I've updated to the latest version and it still does the same thing. I've had it for about 2 years now... been using Rockbox the whole time.

Please, read the POSTING IN THIS FORUM post in any section before posting. This wasn't an installation question.

The H10's pad is known to act strange when batteries are low or weak. Are you still using the original battery it came with, or have you replaced it yet?

I've never opened it up or changed the battery. It was holding a full charge when it still worked properly. Maybe I should try using the outlet charger instead of USB.

But if that doesn't work, then I'll buy a new battery. Would this or this be the right one for a Dark Blue H10 20gb?

Your first link is an empty shopping cart; the second one is for the wrong H10 model. That battery is for a 5/6GB H10.

You should try out eBay to get a battery.

Salve also happened to me the same problem. Replacing the original firmware unlocks the iriver is working normally and then replacing it riblocca Rockbox. I must say that I only recently purchased the original charger and I loaded the battery I wish that had not influenced.
What, you do not know how to make it work thanks.
