playlist problem- its dissapeared
« on: November 17, 2008, 04:27:09 AM »
hi there-  my problem is that i spent ages putting around 1200 songs onto a 'favourites' playlist- on my iriver H100    i then tried to rename it-  and its disappeared from view (on the screen of the player)-

however if i plug the player into my computer it is still there and if i use windows explorer i can access the file and see the names of all the songs i put on there..

is there anyway of resurrecting this file-- because it took me ages to build up this list or am i going to have to go through the folders and build this list up again from scratch!?

any help will be much appreciated!!

i went to   generel settings> file view>  show files>   and it says  'supported'

am i looking in the right section?

thanks for the prompt response btw.!

-- the fact i can still view it on my laptop- gives me some hope-- cos it s still on there in some form or other!!!

if you change that setting to "all files" you should be able to find it... sounds like you renamed it bad?

cheers!

well its now showing it- as in its showing the folder-   but it won't seem to play- it will only let me enter the 'context menu'  for it

i also tried renaming it back to its original name-  but it had no effect-    i do remember it had a   . and then a 4 letter code after its name at some point that i hadn't put there-  could it be because i deleted this file tag whilst renamaing it?

i have made a copy of it to my desktop on my computer--  is there some programme i can run on it- to reactivate it?

rename it to blaa.m3u8 and it should work again (assuming of course it was a m3u playlist)
