Changing Dual-Boot Controls? iPod Video 80gb

My iPod's hold switch has stopped working, so I could no longer dual boot.  I just decided to get rid of the Rockbox firmware because I really wanted the option to dual boot.  I've been wondering though, is there any way to reassign the button to boot into the default iPod firmware (IE Press Menu when the Apple logo shows up to load the default firmware, rather than use the hold switch)?

I have no idea how to work with source code, so unless it's simple modifying a line I probably won't be able to do it.

Actually, the Menu button is an alternative to the hold switch. If you turn on the player and then immediately press again and hold Menu it should boot into the apple OS.
