Trouble installing Rockbox/bootloader

Hi, so for the past 2 hours(probably longer) I've been trying to install Rockbox onto my Sansa e280 8gb. It is not version 2, and it was refurbished. I tried updating the firmware on it so that I could get it to use MSC/UMS. The firmware says it is 01.03.02A as of now. Using the Rockbox Utility allows me to install Rockbox itself, but the sansapatcher.exe won't read my player and using the Rockbox Utility to do a full install doesn't work either. Both just say that no sansa is found and I just don't understand how that is possible when it was able to directly install Rockbox just fine when I gave it a path (H:\) to install into. I'm sorry if I seem or get irritated, I'm just extremely frustrated because I feel like I've done everything correctly, but it just won't let me use Rockbox or something. So if anyone out there knows what the problem is or might be I'd really appreciate the help, or if I'm just completely out of luck I suppose I'll have to give up.

Do you have admin permissions? Those are required for bootloader installation. Please go to the About / System Info dialog and post the output of that window.

evlguy:
Yes, I'm on a laptop and I'm the only one that uses it, so I have the only account and it is an administrator account so that shouldn't be a problem.
