cant find ipod error

<< < (3/6) > >>

firespike8:
When I try and install the bootloader and  when I unmount my ipod using disk utility it says this :
Starting bootloader configuration
Searching for ipods
Downloading file bootloader-ipod3g.ipod
Download finished.
Could not open ipod
As for your other question im still not sure what you mean but I found a program named: rbutilqt-v1-1.0.7.dmg

Chronon:
The phrasing of the first sentence is confusing.  You make it sound as if Disk Utility gave that message.  I'm pretty sure Disk Utility didn't say anything about bootloader configuration. . .

Isn't a .dmg file an archive format for Mac?  Didn't you extract that already in order to run Rockbox Utility?

firespike8:
Oops sorry I made a typo . ;D
I just found an application called "directory" is that what you were talking about (I never knew there was such a thing).

Chronon:
No.  A directory is a folder on your computer.

Start again.  Things are getting too scattered to make any sense of things.

Navigate to the directory where you extracted the rbutilqt-v1-1.0.7.dmg and tell me what is listed in that directory.  I.e. what is the output from ls when you run it in that directory?

firespike8:
Ls?
