Sansa C200 no longer plays through dock
patrussell:
Just installed Rockbox on my Sansa c200 V1 and noticed that it no longer plays through the dock speakers on my im510. I saw a few other posts regarding this but could not see where there was a solution.
Has anyone been able to resolve this? I really like the Rockbox firmware but need to be able to play through the docking connection rather than the line out (it is used for something else in my office).
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Chronon:
I don't know much about your particular accessory. Maybe you could add it to the table HERE. It looks like the docks/speakers listed there at least play the audio at the line out. It is possible that your dock expects to communicate with the SanDisk firmware and won't work unless Rockbox sends the right signal.
patrussell:
I will need to go through the registration process to update the chart. I'll take care of that later.
I saw my dock model in the chart already but it was tested on an e250 and seemed to work.
I do not get any sound out of my c200 player unless I use the line out jack. It will charge the player while docked, just no sound.
Chronon:
More info is certainly better, so thanks for updating that table. Though, I can't think of a reason that a Rockboxed e200 would work with the dock and your c200 will not. Does the dock work properly with the SanDisk firmware?
A minor and tangential point is that the line out is only located in the dock connector. The 3.5 mm jack is a headphone jack, not a line out. So, it seems you're saying you can get sound from the headphone jack, but not from the line out.
patrussell:
You are correct...the headphone jack works fine, as does the Sansa firmware.
I installed the Rockbox firmware using the installer rather than doing a manual load. Could this make a difference? Maybe an older firmware version would help?
