rockbox not staying active

hi i hope someone can tell me where im going wrong.

I have a 5gen video ipod and my computer is running vista. I tried loading rockbox using the auto set up and manually but my ipod still seems to go back to the original apple menu sometimes when it gets connected to my pc. After running bootloader it goes back to rockbox.

If you boot with "Hold" on (such as connecting the cable while hold is on) it'll go into the original software. You just need to hold Menu+Select to reboot back to Rockbox.
