No Rhapsody??
Chronon:
The Rhapsody players refer to MTP mode as "Rhapsody" and MSC as "PlaysForSure". I would guess that the Rhapsody software requires an MTP connection. Try switching the USB mode to MTP and see if it behaves how you remember.

edit: it seems this reasoning was flawed, but makes me wonder about the naming scheme for the USB modes.

It is other way around. Rhapsody mode is MSC mode and PlayForSure mode is MTP mode.
Chronon:
You are correct. His player isn't an R model anyway, so he should put it in MTP mode according to this page. Anyway, this is getting off topic here. Tyler can follow Rhapsody support channels if he's interested.
TylerWelsh:
This was very helpful! I switched it to MTP mode and it is once again recognized it as "Sansa E250" instead of Removable drive. Thanks guys!
So it looks like Rhapsody's protected music and RockBox cannot coexist. Any chance they will learn to get along in the near future??
Chronon:
There's not much chance that Rockbox will play it, no. Rhapsody's music is encumbered with DRM, which Rockbox does not have license (nor desire) to support. Of course, you can always dual boot into the OF to listen to the Rhapsody stuff, right? You just have to remember to switch back to MSC when you want to transfer music for Rockbox.
