cant install - no sansa found

I have a e280 with firmware v01.01.15F, windows XP recognises it and assigns a drive letter fine.  usb mode is mtc. 

But the rock bock autoinstaller cannot detect it and when i set manually it says no sansa found.  So I tried installing rockbox manually but the sansa patcher cannot detect it either.

Do you have the Sansa set as MSC or MTP? It has to be set to MSC in order to be picked up by Rockbox Utility or Sansapatcher.

yes, its definitely msc

Can you click on the Sansa in Windows? Sometimes you have to unplug and replug it...

ah nevermind, just found out its a fuze  ::)
