ipod wont switch on

hi hope someone can help.

I just installed rockbox and all looked fine so i switched it off till i had more time. A few hour later when i turned it on it had gone back to the apple set up. I tried to reset it by holding menu and play. It turned off and now wont turn on.

Not knowing which model iPod you have, I am not sure, but for the newer iPods the reset combo is Menu + Select, not Menu + Play.

sorry missed thhat bit out. its the 5th gen video ipod.

just an update. was reading through a few other posts and decided to open my ipod following a youtube video. Everything looked ok so i tried to turn it on again and this time it worked and it loads rockbox. Wierd!
