Samsung T10

I'm hoping to be able to port rockbox to the T10, but not without your help! If anybody has any info on the hardware or just want to help that would be great. :)

Greetings. :)
You should start up a wiki page for the device and start organizing the information you find there. Also, check out the NewPorts page on our wiki for an outline of what needs to be done. I would suggest that you find people who already own this device and get them interested in Rockbox. You will probably have more success with this than convincing people here to buy a device that they don't own already.
Good luck!

Hi, I'm toying with the idea of working a bit on porting RockBox to the YP-T10.
I've read all of the FAQs, but there's something weird. I've been on the RockBox site a number of times in the last year and a half, and I was pretty sure somebody posted scans and technical data for the T10.
Despite a lot of searching (both using google and the internal search engine), I only found this brief thread and a mention on this page: ttp://www.rockbox.org/wiki/TelechipsInfo which says the SoC is the popular TCC7801 also found in the D2.
Is it possible that the page I remember has been lost somehow? or is it just my memory playing tricks on me?

OK, update.
So I've tried taking apart mine, following directions from this youtube video.
The bad news is, I didn't want to ruin the player so I gave up trying to separate the front and the back as shown in the video. Good news the same video has a list of stuff found inside:
SoC: TeleChips 7801
Flash: Samsung K9LAG08U0M NAND MLC
RAM: EOREX EM488M3244LBA 32 MB SDRAM
Bluetooth + FM: Broadcom BCM2048
Codec: Wolfson 1806G
If this is correct, then the T10 is basically a Samsung P2 with different screen and controls.
Since people were having limited degrees of success running the D2 port on the P2, I went on to build a D2 rockbox.bin and tried it on the T10 using tcctool.
It booted but all I got was a white screen.
Q: I'd like to open up the T10 so I can get scans. How do I pry it open without using a screwdriver hence ruining the player?
funman:
If you can get a white screen that's a pretty advanced stage of a port !
You should start disassembling the T10 firmware to find the LCD code, and then modify the D2 lcd driver in rockbox until you can get something written on the screen.
If you already know which SoC & codec are inside, opening your device is not really needed.

I've just created the wiki page, so now everyone who is interested can see the info about the player and star developing.
