Is the File named zero-F.mi4 or OF.mi4??? number or letter?? SOLVED
TylerWelsh:
I think that this is why my Sansa e250r wont boot. It says "Load main image failed, switch to recovery mode"...
I know most are thinking of replying with a link to "unbrick your sansa" but I have already been there. Here is part of another post to help you understand where I'm at now.
"I have placed the pp5022.mi4 in the main folder so that it says:
Playlists
VERSIONS.TXT
pp5022.mi4
Is this the correct location?
Because when I unplug it, it then says"
Upgrade finished
Resetting the system.
When it reboots it then says:
Load main image failed
switch to Recovery mode
Any suggestions???
Thanks for the help!!
UPDATE: I FIGURED OUT THAT "OF" STANDS FOR OLD FIRMWARE OR ORIGINAL FIRMWARE, SO IT MUST HAVE BEEN A LETTER, NOT A NUMBER.
I PUT A ZERO INSTEAD. What should I do???
saratoga:
Can you get into recovery mode?
TylerWelsh:
yes, I think that my problem may be that despite my sansa saying rhapsody and e250r on the back, it may not be an "R".
I read the glossary and it says:
Rhapsody/e200R Models
If the USB options on your player are "MSC" and "MTP" it's non-R, if they're "Rhapsody" and "Plays for Sure" then it's R.
I have the options MSC and MTP options and have been trying to load the "R" files, maybe I'll try the e200's???
My sansa is a Refurb, that may explain the switch
saratoga:
The back doesn't mean much, its what the firmware says that counts. If you can get into recovery mode, fixing your player should be as simple as following those instructions and using a non-R firmware.
TylerWelsh:
That's exactly what was wrong. I was trying to use the R firmware, once I realized that, It worked fine.
