how to record a live show

hi i have iriver h10 and i don't know anything about recording
i record two live shows and didn't touch the preferences and i can hear only bass
what i need to configure?
(i'm using the internal mic)

get a good mic and maybe a pre-amp or battery-box depending on the type of show.

I don't think the H10 will give good recordings with the internal mic.

It has a line-in through the dock connector so you might try to make a cable to attach the mic on there.

or get a better player that supports external mic through a normal plug (h3x0 or h1x0)

If you have access to the P/A you can record direct from it.  I would also place an external mic in a good spot so you can cap some of the crowd vibe as well.

A rode stereo videomic works quite well with the Iriver H1xx / H3xx.
