upgrading memory on a SanDisk Sansa e260R possible?

Remember the OS is on that little board too- it looks like a little RAM chip.
I was messing with mine and when I swapped the e250R memory with a e250 they thought they were different players..!

Does the daughterboard have to be from a V1 Sansa?

Yes, the V2 memory is not on a daughterboard, it is on the main board.
