2G Reboot Loop on my Rockbox
« on: October 27, 2008, 02:10:23 PM »
Hi there,

I'm using the Rockbox FW some weeks ago and few days ago my ipod is still rebooting whe I've tried to turn it off with "play/pause". I still get the apple and then the Rockbox menue.
My ipod is running with the CF-Bootloader, because I'm using a 16GB CF-Card in it.

Did anyone have an solutions for my problem?

Regards & Thanks in Advance

Hi, have you read this entry in theĀ  iPodFAQ?

We should also note this in the manual.

The Hold switch on the 2G sometimes does not operate correctly (a mechanical problem). Make sure your Hold switch is functioning by switching it on while Rockbox is running. If it is working correctly, keypresses will be blocked (and if you are using the cabbie WPS, you will see a lock symbol).

You can also hold "Menu" at boot time to boot into the Apple firmware
