e260 installs fine, but upon USB connection reverts to Sansa firmware ??

I have installed the rockbox system to an e260 (not R model)
I first installed it manually.  Seemed OK until I connected USB at which time the system reboots into Sansa firmware.
I then tried an auto install (complete)
Same results.

If I simply press power ON it boots into Rockbox fine.  The problem only happens after I connect to computer ??
