Volume when attached to car

Tried both used current Apple firmware and it worked fine. Reset Rockbox settings before trying Apple firmware and it didn't work.

dreamlayers:
My 30GB 5G Video iPod currently has version r18760-081010 installed.  If I record to line in on my motherboard using a cable from the dock connector, the line out level is comparable to headphone jack level with the volume set to 0.  Enabling or disabling accessory power has no effect.
