« on: October 17, 2008, 07:02:18 AM »
Hi,there is a problem with the iPod,it shows nothing but just a white screen, now I can't see what is on the screen,I'm guessing where to go everytime I want to play a song, the thing is that this happened just when I installed the release 3.0,I now have an iPod shuffle,oh dear...

Have you tried resetting your settings?  See section 11.3.3 of the Manual.

as long as the Ipod is playing music it is per definition NOT bricked. Please be careful with your language in that respect.

Does the original firmware also have this problem?  You say that you reformatted (Restored?) the player and reinstalled the software and this didn't help.  This is sounding like a hardware problem to me.

Yes,I did and now I have other problem, the battery is lasting less and less,I recharge it to 100% and in like an hour or half an hour it gets to 70% or 80%,I did both reformatt and restore

You didn't mention if the OF suffers from the same problem.  Out of curiosity, how do you know how quickly the battery is dropping if the screen is completely white?

Rockbox voices the menu's,it has voice, but about OF,it has no voice and it has the same problem; off topic but this thing of the ipod brought me with the crazy idea of buying an ipod shuffle.

I had to change configurations,of the sound, playback, the backlight and I had to change the way I use the ipod, how I use it,I've learned a lot of things with this problem.
