I need to reformat my h10 20GB, how do I put both firmware back on?

What I am trying to do:
Dual boot the latest firmwares of Rockbox and official iriver h10 20GB (Yes i am aware latest are quite old)


there is a 3GB file I can't delete and I so I want to reformat.
The thing is I have this link for a firmware upgrade from iriver:

But I don't know if that will work since I'm not really upgrading but doing a fresh install of a firmware.


So how can I put rockbox and dual boot with offcial h10 firmware after I do the reformat?

Use the MTP updater utility you linked to.  It will ask you what region you got your iriver from (Europe or USA), since it won't find anything on the device to tell it.  Answer appropriately and continue as per the instructions.  It will install the official firmware, from which point you can install Rockbox.
