putting rockbox on my ipod

whenever i proceed to drag the .rockbox file into my main ipod directory window, it just wont take the file and says theres not enough space...(and i dont want to delete all my ipod stuff thats already in there.)

anyways some help would be greatly appreciated!

Our crystal balls are in the shop, so we need details like:

1) What model iPod is it you're using?
2) What operating system?
3) What steps have you followed in the manual so far?

operating system: XP
steps: downloaded .rockbox and am using the usb

A blue 4GB nano is a 2nd generation nano, which will not work with Rockbox. This is listed on the front page:

(not the Shuffle, 2nd/3rd gen Nano, Classic or Touch)

There are no other open firmwares that'll run on a 2nd gen nano.

Since the original question has been answered, I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread.
