Problems jumping to previous track, beeps and hang-ups (Sansa e200)

(1/1)

JK1974:
Hi,

I have been using Rockbox 2.5 quite a long time without problems with my Sandisk Sansa e200, but after updating to 3.0 with the Rockbox Utility, I have three major problems.
1) When I play back a track and press the previous track button for jumping to the previous track, I either hear nothing or just a light beep as if the buffer is not allocated correctly and only a few samples are played back as a loop.
2) When pressing the next track button, I always get something like a short "beep" at the beginning of every track.
3) After powering on the player again and selecting "continue playback" (or similar), the player lately crashed for the second time after playing some minutes and did not react on any command anymore. I had to keep the player run out of battery and then could use it again after plugging it to the USB port (and reloading the battery).

Any hints on this? Or someone out there without problems running Rockbox 3.0 on a e200? What logs/further infos do you need for debugging it?

With kind regards - and thanx for any help ;)

AlexP:
You haven't been using Rockbox 2.5, that was released three years ago and was for Archos only.

Do you have beep on track change turned on?  It is in Playback Settings as Beep Volume.

You can force the player to turn off by holding power for fifteen seconds or longer, running out the battery is not necessary.

When did you install the version you were using previously?  Since you don't know the revision number, this may help narrow down any changes.

Problem # 1 occurs on my Sansa c250 with r18800M. It can occur with seemingly any pair of tracks. Using the playlist viewer to move back one track does not cause the problem.
