Cannot find playlists on Sansa e260

(1/1)

This is the second time I have installed Rockbox on my Sansa e260. I uninstalled it the first time because of the inability of the software to find my playlists that I had created. These are playlists that were alreadly on the player before I installed Rockbox. I have installed the most recent version and my playlists still have not shown up.

People keep singing the praises of Rockbox but I am probabaly going to go back to the default firmwire if I cannot get this to work.

bascule:
...and are the playlists standard .m3u8 format? If so, they should work fine. If not, are they some similar plain text format that could be converted?

Chronon:
Rockbox uses standard .m3u8 playlists.  If you're referring to playlists used by the SanDisk firmware then you will have to convert them if you want to use them in Rockbox.  There was a big discussion of this a while back.  You can find it here: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=12908.0

edit:
Looking back on it, it's a bit convoluted.  The upshot is that you will need to find a program to convert your SanDisk playlists into the right format for Rockbox.  If you use Windows then maybe Winamp will work for you.
