Displaying wrong "Next Song"

For some reason when viewing "Now Playing," the 'Next Song' title is always wrong, and usually says the title of the previous song that I played, or a completely random song in my library. Here is the code that I am using on the WPS:

%?C<|%s%ac%?It<%It|%Fn>>

Does anyone know what is going on? I have a Sansa e250. Thanks in advance for the help!

EDIT: I'm not sure if it has anything to do with settings, either. I don't think I've changed anything, and I've tried updating the database and initializing the database.

Make sure you haven't got "Repeat 1" or "Repeat Shuffle" turned on.

I've just found that if I return to the main menu and select "Now Playing" that it shows the correct song that is next. But how do I get it to show up right the first time, without having to go to the menu and back?

And no, Repeat 1 and Shuffle are not on.

If you access the "View Current Playlist" option (playlist menu or context menu), what's the following song there compared to "next song" displayed?

The playlist shows the correct songs.

EDIT: I tried turning on directory cache, it seems to have fixed it. If I have any more problems I'll let you know.

This would seem like a bug, could you create a bug report?

A bug report is only really useful if you can reproduce the conditions that cause the bug, so that others can experience and thus fix it.

Does the problem re-appear if Directory Cache is switched off? Does the whole only problem only occur if auto-resume is set (or not)? Is it just poor WPS coding, or is there a problem with viewport refreshing, for instance?

Questions like this need to be answered for a bug report to have any hope of being investigated.

Reviving this thread..heh..

I have a problem where the next song tag will display the current song's info.  And "sometimes" it'll show the next song, it's pretty random.
Any insights?

Which build of Rockbox are you using, which theme(s), and which player?

I'm on the Sansa Fuze V1, using latest build which would be r24332-100124.

Just in case you want to know, my line for the Next song is this:
%?It<%s%acNext:%Ia - %It>

But I've seen it happen before with some of the WPS's that came with the builds, which is:
%s%al%?It<%It|%Fn>
