File naming
« on: October 05, 2008, 04:35:08 PM »
I installed RB on my Toshiba F-40 yesterday, and stayed up until 4 a.m. discovering all of the new functionality available.  Thanks!

Now, another question...

Toshiba's Gigabeat Room software had performed all of the necessary file management.  In particular, when new mp3s were transferred or a CD was ripped, the music was placed into the appropriate file by artist.  Using drag and drop (or copy and paste) with RB, though, the transfer process will halt if the same artist is already on the player.  That is, the process will seek to overwrite the file instead of placing the new music into the file.  Any thoughts on whether a more intelligent process might be available?  Thanks again.

I personally use Jukebox Synchronizer, but there are other suggestions in the Wiki:
