e280 not recognized as a drive
« on: October 05, 2008, 07:22:17 AM »
I recently bought a reconditioned e280 off eBay and want to install Rockbox on it.  When I plug the player into my Vista HP laptop, the laptop doesn't seem to recognize it as a drive and doesn't assign it a letter so I can' t load RBox.  The player does read "connected" and the laptop does "see" it, since the dialogue box opens asking me what I want to do.  Any thoughts?  Thanks much.
