Depends on the speed of the PC you are running it on.
The Simulator is more intended for UI testing than any sort of benchmarking.

As a rule of thumb, a
simulator
just runs the software on a platform other than what the software is normally for, while an
emulator
actually mimics the hardware as well (to the best of the host machine's ability).
That's what I've gathered, anyway.

In general, on most modern PCs the simulator will be running MUCH faster than the code will run on a player.
