Will a broken 2nd generation iPod nano help anyone?

I have a broken 2nd generation iPod nano (8gb). I was going to try to sell it on eBay and see if anyone needs it for parts, but decided to check here first. It's either a battery issue, or the battery connector. When i wiggle to cord, sometimes i get the screen to turn on.

Anyway, if anyone's interested, and if this can help rockbox development, i'll be more then happy to mail it to you. But please, only respond if you plan to contribute to the project, not because you want to get a free (and probably easily fixable) player.

I'm trying to get some headway going on a nano 2G port, but I don't want to tear apart my only nano to do any hardware identification. As I want to get the part numbers on some of the internal hardware to see if I can find any information online, a broken nano to tear apart would be useful.
