Can't load Bootloader on 5th Gen 80GB iPod...
(1/1)
bnice:
Ran Rockbox Utility and tried to install the Bootloader.
The Progress window tells me "No iPods Found"
Clicked on "change" for the selected device
Clicked "browse" and selected my iPod
Clicked on "Auto Detect" which selected "Ipod Video (5th Gen) 60/80GB"
a window stating "Detected an Unsupported Apple player variant. Sorry, Rockbox doesn't run on your player." pops up.
This is as far as I get. Any insight?
Thanks,
-B

I've got another problem regarding the 5.5g too, http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=18852.0
My ipod was detected but I can't install the bootloader at all.
Sorry for the double thread, a merge would be good. I did not see his thread as I was typing them. :(

You have an Ipod Classic. Rockbox doesn't run on the classic.
