FLAC codec failure (was: audio format request)

 i have one problem with the flac format so far on rockbox, everytime i try to play the file it says codec failure. would this be because of my computer produce the file wrong or the mp3 not being able to take it? would reducing the quality probably fix it?

Sounds like you should upgrade to the latest build making sure to overwrite all files.

Codec failures are usually due to a slightly botched upgrade.

ive already tried updating it doesnt help a thing. the codec still fails every time. what else could be wrong with it?

Are other files playing okay?

Is it a single FLAC file which causes the problem, while others play correctly or do all FLAC files present this error?

everything on my mp3 works properly all audio all video no glitches. My only errors are certain while playing screens and .flac files all else is good.

If other formats work its probably just a corrupted FLAC, invalid file tags, etc.
