Stop between song (a wish)

Hi everybody,

We are country line dancer and we still use Winamp and a laptop because there is a stop between song (I wrote Stop not pause) option in the preference menu. So we have to press play for the next song to start.

Why we need this? When we teach we simply stop dancing between each song.

I use rockbox for teaching but I always have to run for the stop button. That's why I'm still carrying a laptop.

Also a compressor is a good idea for us.

BIG SUPPORT for this one.
I have an "auto-cue" function on my home cd player, and i use it alot for classical music (to distinguish symphony movements, for example), and for teaching in voice classes. Sometimes a background track ends and I want to point out things immediately, but have to run to the iPod to stop it ( a problem in big spaces and workshops...).
SUPPORT!!!

[P.S.: the patch is unusable for us common users, so why even bother to show it? I wasted 10 minutes trying to understand how to "install" the patch then realized it has to be compiled...  ]

How am I supposed to know your, or any other strange's, level of expertise?  I linked it because it contains relevent information and will stop someone from starting from scratch and face-palming when they realize it had already been half-written.

Also, compiling is very easy and I would be stunned if the "common user" (whatever that is) couldn't do it.

I understand from your reading that I need some skill that i don't have.

It is clear that we can't doing it right now with this built. So I'll wait future build of rockbox and hope this will be implemented.

It sounds like the patch works.  So, just get a suitable build environment set up and you can try it.
