Should I upgrade my Archos V2 Recorder to 3.0?

My Archos V2 Recorder is currently running a custom RomBox build from November 2007.   I can run 3.0 but it significantly decreases buffer space.  Are there any good reasons for upgrading to 3.0 on an Archos V2 Recorder?

Note:  3.0 is too big for RomBox even with tagcache removed.  I had to disable support for the FM tuner also to get it to build.   It seems to work fine with that disabled though I didn't do extensive testing.

3.0 is great on my video iPod though.  Thanks!
