complicated Problem with iAUdio X5 + rockbox,
Gaiosan:
hey, I'm using rockbox for a long time now,
lately my screen on the iaudio was broken, so i installed voicebox, all i see is black.
so i cant really use options and configs cause i cant see anything :P
all i can do with the player is go to MUSIC.... no options no movies no icons no backs etc...
the problem started a few months ago, that some songs (99% of them actually) freeze during the song, and i have to reset the player...
it always happens at the same songs, the same second on the song and always i can feel the device vibrates a little before it freezes.
any idea what the hell can i go? it freezes about every 4-6 minutes...
just updating to rockbox 3.0 to see if anything is better...
AlexP:
How did you break the screen? It could well be that you broke something else as well, such as the hard drive. First thing I'd do is run a disk check on it.
Gaiosan:
no idea how the screen broke, but it worked perfectly for months until it starts freezing....
how do i run a disc check on it?
AlexP:
Assuming that you are running Windows, open a command prompt and run
chkdsk /f x:
where x: is the driver letter of the X5
Gaiosan:
