just 1 question before installation

I like to install rockbox on my 1g iPod nano. But i just want to ask a few questions before i begin:

1. How big is the risk that this will destroy my iPod?
2. What is the recommend installation? Rockbox utility or manual? I am experienced with computers. Manual isnt a problem but i just wanted to know which installation is prefered.

1. None. Seriously. The risk is less than even official Apple updates.
2. Rockbox Utility, absolutely. Manual is really just leftovers from a long time ago.
