You can put the Rockbox bootloader in using Recovery mode, this should allow you to boot into Rockbox from which you can delete any files you feel like deleting.

How do I do that? I'm using Linux, and running sansapatcher doesn't find my player.

EDIT: I also have Virtualbox installed. I'll try installing the bootloader in Windows.

EDIT2: Tried doing it in Windows with the same result.

The bootloader is available as an MI4 file on download.rockbox.org. If you rename it the same as the original firmware MI4 and use it to restore the device, it'll be installed instead of the original firmware.

Every time I put it on the player, it reads the main image, then says invalid main image. The weird thing is, I can't see a main firmware file in that partition, I only see VERSION.TXT. So... What should I do? Or what is the reason?

Have a look at http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SansaE200Unbrick. If you're in doubt about any of the instructions, please ask, don't guess, as making mistakes here can make it much harder to fix

Well, I tried reinstalling the bootloader because it claimed it would format everything, but... it didn't. I've tried everything else on that page, and although the player still turns on, still goes into Recovery Mode, still annoyingly refreshes its database, then freezes during that, preventing me from doing anything, it didn't solve the problem. Is there a .rom for the Rockbox bootloader somewhere?

I was just checking to make sure that the version.txt wasn't corrupted.

If you followed the instructions on the page that gevaerts linked for you then you should have been led to a page with a bootloader.

I tried everything on that page, and nothing worked. I just need a way to format the thing from Recovery Mode.

Also, the .mi4 for the Rockbox bootloader won't work.

What does it mean if the version.txt is corrupted? I'm having a problem with my E260 and I decided to boot to recovery mode just to make sure the USB is still working at all, and the version.txt looks like this:

Quote
Version Info: Product Rev.:
Base Code:
ODM Ver.:
OEM Ver.:
Build Type:
Build Date:
Build Number:

All blank!  ???

suzumebachi: I don't know if your situation matches, but you may want to check this topic: http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=18197.0

virtuoso15 describes a situation that isn't mentioned in the E200Unbrick page and links to a solution that s/he posted on anythingbutipod.  It might be useful for you.

I tried everything on that page (even though it wasn't specifically said to me), and nothing worked.

HELP NEEDED!!!

I downloaded rockbox the other day and decided i wanted to go back to my origional fw.

I used the uninstaller utility and it froze my computer so i had to turn it off.

when i did though it says that i dont have the rockbox installed and the boot loader cant find it.

It then turns off

i tried to go into recovery mode but it doesnt detect my player as 16 mb drive

instead it says sansa e250

I tried to drag the pp5022 file in but it says it cannot find the correct path.

WHAT DO I DO!!??

Post this in a thread on it's own for a start - your problem is NOT to do with a c200.

And don't spam this same problem across multiple threads - I've deleted your other posts.
