Restore ipod firmware

I have an ipod photo.  If i put rockbox on it will i be able to uninstall and restore the ipod firmware if i don't like it?  And does it have proper shutdown?  Thanks

You can uninstall (see manaul), and yes you can shut down.

There's an uninstall section in the manual. It's there because you can uninstall.

What do you mean by "Proper shutdown"? If you mean "can you turn off the iPod from in Rockbox" then yes.
