Music File plays very slowy.
« on: September 27, 2008, 01:39:48 AM »
Just upgraded my Jukebox V2 to a 100G drive, and now it's playing the mp3 files very slowly. Any idea what would cause this? I made sure the mp3 files still play from the Jukebox with MediaPlayer ...

Thanks.

Have you possibly accidentally changed the pitch setting?

Nope, it's not that. I found that option and even boosting the pitch to 200, it's still too slow ...

What does "too slow" mean exactly? Are you sure this isn't related to the file?

Too slow as in, over twice as slow as the file should be played at. Like I said, I used the Pitch option and even on 200, every mp3 file I tried was still playing slow. I've attached the USB cable to my laptop, and every mp3 file plays as they should in Media player but none of them play like they should on the Jukebox. Before I switched out the hard drive, I had close to 20G of mp3 files and they always played like they should. But after changing to the 100G drive, I haven't found one file that plays like it should.

Saturday evening, I decided to take the Jukebox apart, and make sure the solder connections that hold the case to the PCB were still intact. I found several weren't so I re-soldered them, and the mp3 files are now playing like they should.
