Hi:

I have two friends that have asked me to find a Rockbox capable player. I have a Gigabeat F40 and am quite happy with it but the supply seems to have dried up. I would get them a Gigabeat F40 if I could but that doesn't seem to be possible. What would you fellow Rockbox users recommend as the next best choice?

Look on ebay, there are hundreds being sold there.

eBay is your best bet to land a Gigabeat. If you're in the USA, check out your local craigslist as well.

It's up to you of course, but that's too much. You should be able to get an F40 for $70-$80 at most

Hi:

As of today, 10/03, there is only one Gigabeat F40 available on Ebay. Last week there was one but I was outbid while at work. They were plentiful but not now. It's difficult to find them for sale anywhere.

I 'Rockboxed' two Sansa 280e players and they work great. I love my iRiver H3xx players, but my daughters prefer the smaller Sansa. I recommend them highly!
