restarted before installed rockbox

HI! I was silly, and I think I've broken my M3. I have installed the bootloader using the rockbox utiliy and restarted the player without copying the .rockbox files or the firmware on the hardisk. Now it stops booting and turns itself off after trying to write the new firmware. When I connect it to my PC it freezes immadiately, so seem to be no way to copy the files to my player.
Does anybody have any idea to fix it?

Finally I'v found the remedy: I had to buy a 1,8" to 3,5" ide adapter,then opened the case, removed the small hdd and connected it to my pc. The hardest part was to find the correct adapter, because now-days this kind of pata-hdds are not fashionable anymore. . .thx
