Winamp playcounts
(1/1)
Doghnut:
Just installed Rockbox again for the first time in several years. I have an 80G fifth gen ipod.
My question: Is there anyway to sync the playcounts with winamp? I use winamp to manage my ipod and I love the playcount feature. I cant get Rockbox to recognize playcounts from winamp and I cant get winamp to recognize that a track has been played with rockbox.
I really like rockbox (used to use it *years* ago on my old 10gig archos) but this feature is kind of a deal breaker for me. Anyone know of any solutions?
Llorean:
Get someone to write a Winamp plugin that parses and updates the playcount in the Rockbox database. This is more or less something that needs to be handled by the software on the host PC.
Doghnut:
hmm...well, I dont know anyone who can do that...and a lack of other suggestions, i guess, means i should assume there isnt any kind of built in feature or already existent plugin...
well, that's too bad.
Llorean:
Rockbox does not have access to any information on your PC. It would be impossible for Rockbox to import data from PC-side players. Instead they'd have to put it on a Rockboxed MP3 player for you.
Chronon:
For the other direction, Rockbox can already create an audioscrobbler log containing a record of all the songs played. If you want your desktop application to track what Rockbox is doing maybe you can merge the data from this.
