3.0?

(1/2) > >>

AstroBoy:
I just installed the most current using the Rockbox Utility.  I now have version r18651-080926

Is that 3.0?

It does not seem any different.  It would be nice to put 3.0 in the version number somewhere.

If that is not 3.0, how do I install 3.0.  The install instructions say using the Rockbox Utility is the easiest.

Thanks.

Llorean:
As was said, 3.0 will not be any different than the "Current Build" in terms of features. In fact, the Current Build has already moved on ahead of it.

I believe you need to manually download and extract 3.0 right now, we're working on bringing out a version of the utility that will install it.

But why did you expect it to look/seem different? Was there something in the documentation that suggested it would?

No, that would be today's build.

I guess I was expecting to see 3.0 somewhere.  What use is calling it 3.0 if it is really r18123 or something.

If I must unzip manually, why does the upgrade instructions say the Utility is easist?  This is what mesed me up.

I now have 3.0.  There is a "3.0" in the version.

Thanks for the help.

What use is it calling it r18123 instead of 3.0?  Things often have names, get over it.

rbutility hasn't been updated to offer the release version as an option, so you just got the latest build (which is what is supposed to happen).
