Installing help

well i got the rockbox utilitys thing and it sais my ipods not found? i have a green ipod mini 2nd gen 4gig and its connected i know cuz i can go to my computer and click on it and i dont know what to do its connect yet it sais its not found?

Could be a screwed up file system on your ipod.  Backing up the files on it, and then restoring with (Windows) iTunes would fix that if its the problem.

Please go to the About / System info dialog and post the output of that (you can copy and paste from that dialog). That way we can make sure you don't have different issues. Also, have you used the autodetection feature in the configuration dialog? Which version of Rockbox Utility are you using?
