Complete Newb with codec install problems

I'm sure this has been covered but I've read the PDF and combed the msg. boards and couldn't find anything so here goes:

I have a Sansa E260 V 01.02.18A.  I try to install Rockbox 3.0 onto it by placing the unziped .rockbox folder into the root of the device, but windows vista won't let me put any of the files in the codec folder onto the device.  It keeps saying "this device only accepts music, movies, photos, etc." and then the options of skip file, skip all, or cancel.  All the other files / folders get placed fine.  Please help, I really want to try this out!  thanks so much.

You haven't put the device in MSC mode.

... and you might want to use Rockbox Utility to install as it's not as simple as copying those files to the drive.  See your manual's installation instructions for more info.

Yep it was the MSC mode, missed that part of the manual.  Everything else went smooth, thanks so much.
