pause/stop fade feature
« on: September 25, 2008, 09:26:59 AM »
pardon my ignorance.  this may have been requested prior.  i searched but could not find  any posts on the topic.
Can rockbox be modified such that when stop is entered or pressed rockbox fades  then advances to the next track?  so when the play is entered or pressed the next track starts to play at the full  (normal) volume

also could someone tell me if the fade on the line out has been implemented?
i am a programmer but have no experience with rockbox.  i will download the SDK toolkit for rockbox, but  I'm not sure how far i can go with it.  if someone was willing to point me in the right direction that would be helpful

thanks for your possible consideration.

Why not just pause, advance to next track and then press play when you're ready?  There's already a "Fade on Stop/Pause" option.

that solution doesn't solve the entire problem.  yes, stop, advance and play does move to the next song but it also does a "Fade in".  i would prefer a full volume immediately.

how about if i set fade in to zero?  would that solve the second part of the problem??
