Does the database index the cf card on Sansa e200 players?

My Sansa e240 with Rockbox installed doesn't seem to index the music in the expansion card (currently trying with a 256MB card, music in a subfolder named "MUSIC").

I have tried manually triggering a database update and initialization (under Settings-General-Database) with the card installed, rebooted before / after, etc. and the database still doesn't include .mp3 files from the card.

Is the database supposed to index the cf card?

Am I missing some option to enable this?

Are the files tagged properly?  Do they show up under <untagged>?  Do they show up in the file browser?  The database should pick them up.

They do show up and play under file browser - will need to check about tagged / untagged.  The files were ripped using a PS3, they have artist/album/song info on the PS3, but it may be kooky somehow.

Chronon:
Rockbox only reads ID3 tags in MP3s, maybe the files have APE tags?  By the way, the Sansa uses microSD(HC), not CF cards.
