This has nothing to do with the WPS - it's a problem with the build.  If you can reproduce the bug, i.e. it didn't just happen once, you can open a report.

Regarding the error message - could you please answer the following questions:
1) What Ipod do you use exactly (a 30GB or an 80GB Ipod Video)?
2) Which Rockbox build did you install (the one for the 30GB or the 80GB model)?
2a) Or: how did you install Rockbox?

Although I admit that the error message you quoted doesn't seem familiar and might point to something else, but answering those questions could help understanding what's going on and are needed for a proper bug report anyways, in case you want to do that.
