DVD Movies To Your iPod "A Suggestion"

(1/1)

Leniux:
Ive seen/read a couple of Forums about RockBox User's trying to watch DVD's on their iPod or whatever they may be Hosting the Amazing Firmware. Of course you should know that;
A: RockBox plays Movie's in MPEG Format.
B: RockBox Does Not Playback MP4 Movie's
C: RockBox Rocks!
D: Make Sure You Have Enough Memory For This!
-----------------------------------------------------------

Ive read in the Forums people imaging DVD's ".iso's" and suggesting trying to play them using a RockBox.
Thing is RockBox does not Mount an .iso and play them. So... What?! How to watch DVD's in the iPod/Host?
It's called a "DVD Ripper". A DVD Ripper "Ripps Out" DVD movies and converts them to whatever you choose.
Another tool is WinFF.exe. A simple easy to use program that allows you to Format a movie and be able to playback on RockBox's MPEG player.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Try it! Ripp a DVD and use WinFF to convert it to RockBox MPEG Format!
Remember DVD movies to up Memory. Make sure you have enough!

I Hope this Helps!

Leniux...

The forums are for discussion, not instructions.  Instructions should be posted on the wiki.

We already mention WinFF on the PluginMpegplayer page.
