help...E200 rockbox display not working right

I installed rockbox on my old Sansa E200.  It works, but the graphics do not look right.

I've tried switching themes, they all look the same on the playback screen.  It is tolerable, except I don't get the battery indicator.

What you're seeing is the fallback/default theme.

A .wps file is required and was NOT included in the install package?  I have dozens of .cfg theme files, but they don't change the look, just the colors and fonts.

So do I need to create a txt .wps file for the E200?  Seems like this would have been included.

The .cfg file points to the .wps file.  The themes included with the download will all work.  Because of the changes mentionned in the post I linked to, many themes you'll find elsewhere will no longer work.  Try the WpsGallery here in the wiki, you'll have better luck with those.

How are you loading the themes?  What is the revision number of rockbox you're using?

I go to Settings>Theme Settings>Browse Themes and pick one.

That version is very out of date.  Please update to a current build, then try again.

What "many included themes" are you talking about? Rockbox itself comes with a small number of themes (exact number depending on your player, but the maximum is 11, and its less for the e200). All those themes work just fine. All themes downloaded from somewhere else might be outdated and fail.

Are you using an official build?

Not to be a nitpicker, but he said "many of the included themes" which is different and means "a high percentage of" - so he could have been talking about having tried 2 out of 3.

He could also have installed an unsupported build that comes with additiona themes ...

Thanks for your help.  I *may* have (probably did install other themes.

I'll reinstall a fresh version and try that.

I'm kinda new to all this.  However, I used to have an old Archos (the first huge HD based player) that I remember putting rockbox on...maybe 5 or so years ago.  I mainly use my Sansa for podcasts, and the superfast FF/RW is great for 2 hour long podcasts.

I deleted my .rockbox folder, re-installed using the newest version, and it looks beautiful.  Thanks.
